Sebastian superheroes needed in fight against cancer

SEBASTIAN — LaPorte Farms in Sebastian will host a Relay For Life Kickoff & BBQ on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 6 pm. Everyone who would like to be involved in the 2012 North County Relay For Life is invited to attend. Superheroes are the theme for this year’s North Indian River County Relay For Life, which will take place April 20 and 21 at the Sebastian River High School, Shark’s Stadium.

We are the superheroes – saying no to a disease that takes too much, fighting for a cure and possessing the power to save lives; and yet, we’re just average people.

That is why Superheroes are the theme for this year’s Relay For Life – to depict how an average person can become a superhero because of one small thing or event in their life. How Spiderman became super due to a spider bite, or how Superman from the death of his parents begins using his powers.

So what does this mean? It means we are going to have a SUPER fun time! The atmosphere, decor, entertainment, and much more will all be Superhero fantastic. Want to help make this theme come to life? Deck out your tent site with a Superhero theme, dress up and act the part.

But most importantly, join forces for the 18-hour fight against cancer.
