Matthew Dominic Bystry, 82, died Aug. 18, 2011.
He was born in Baltimore and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from his birthplace.
Before retirement, he was a former vice president of Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. in Baltimore.
He served in the National Guard.
He was of the Catholic faith and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth J. Bystry; sons, Mark D. Bystry and Brian P. Bystry; daughters, Carol D. Dunaway and Amy L. Serkedakis; and 11 grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 26 at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Arrangements are by Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
