INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — From wine and cheese during Vero Beach’s Sip of the City and a back to school backpack giveaway in Fellsmere, to a beachside concert and clay throwing for the upcoming Soup Bowl, the weekend has a little bit for everyone.

  • The Island Images Gallery of Hope juried “High Dynamic Range” photography exhibit featuring the work of Kim Seng aka “Captain Kimo.”

Thursday

  • Mulligan’s Make Magic Happen to benefit Hibiscus Children’s Center and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. From 5 – 8 p.m. kids eat free and 20 percent of proceeds are donated to charity.

Friday

  • Farmer’s Market Oceanside, 8 a.m. to noon at the corner of Ocean Drive and Dahlia Lane, across from Humiston Park.
  • “Skip Back to School” with Skippyjon Jones, 11 a.m. in the Vero Beach Book Center Children’s Store. Stories, refreshments and bring a camera for your “back to school” pic with Skippyjon Jones.
  • Operation Hope Back to School Backpack Giveaway, at 1 p.m. Line up starts at 11 a.m., 12285 County Road 512, Fellsmere.
  • Intrepid Art Gallery Art House exhibit, featuring the works of nine artists hosts an Opening Reception at 6 p.m.
  • Beach Blanket Bingo Summer Costume Dance Party at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, 6:30 to 10 p.m. featuring the 60s retro-band Shindig.
  • Oceanside Business Association Sunset Saturday Night Stingray Shuffle Concert, featuring music by Dave & the Wave, 6:30 to 9:30 pm at Humiston Park on Ocean Drive. Featured charity is Habitat for Humanity.

Saturday and Sunday

  • Watch artisans produce wheel-thrown stoneware bowls and soup tureens at the Vero Beach Museum of Art in preparation for the annual Samaritan Center Soup Bowl fundraiser. 453-9049.
