VERO BEACH — Vero Quest promotes health within the body, mind, and spirit through educational workshops and seminars that encourage participants to engage in a transformational process that will awaken the authentic self.
Vero Quest hosts evening workshops, generally the fourth Monday of the month, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (registration begins at 6 p.m.) at the Vero Beach Community Center, 2266 14th Avenue in downtown Vero Beach.
Presenters are Kate Hoffmann, Acupuncture Physician; Vickie Shannon LMHC, CAP; and Beth Walsh Eriksen, publisher of Florida Family News.
Great topics have been planned to help you peel away all that does not serve you, and reveal the authentic self that operates in love and harmony through body, mind and spirit. Let’s get growing!
Everybody is welcome to attend the workshops. The cost is $10 in advance (Prepay at www.VeroQuest.info) or $15 at the door.
Upcoming class:
Monday, August 22 (NOT the last Monday of the month) – Workshop will focus on In-To-Me-See; a different look at Intimacy.
MIND – How intimate are you? If you took a poll you would likely find that most people equate the word intimacy with sex. In fact, intimacy is one of those words that, when mentioned, generates a strong emotional response. People tend to feel either drawn to or threatened by intimacy. The reality is that sex is only one possible component of intimacy.
SPIRIT – For many religious people and mystics, to attain intimate knowledge of the Creator is the purpose for life. Can the average Joe aspire to such a high calling? The wonderful reality of spiritual intimacy is that God desires it for everyone – average or achiever, man or woman, simple or intellectual.
BODY – Are you able to “In-to-me-see” with your own body? Or are you ignoring important signs coming from it by masking them with OTC medications? Do you pay attention to how your body reacts when you do things like run in old running shoes, don’t get enough rest, eat your favorite foods?
Future workshops:
September 26 – Got Fear?
October 24 – Addictions/Alcoholism: Worried about someone? Get the facts.
November 28 – Gratitude: Thanksgiving is more than the Turkey
