INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The summer is heating up and so are the weekends. The North County Library will play host to HALO Animal Rescue Friday, nature-lovers will be cleaning up the waterways Saturday, and nautical enthusiasts can score deals at the annual flea market Sunday.

- Mulligan’s Fun in the Sun to benefit Little Smiles, and the Environmental Learning Center. From 5 – 8 p.m. kids eat free and 20% of proceeds are donated to charity.

- H.A.L.O, a no-kill animal shelter in Sebastian, will be visiting the North Indian River County Library with some of their rescued animals from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

- Riverside Children’s Theatre’s Summer Stage presents The Wiz, a fresh spin to the classic tale of “The Wizard of Oz,” at the Anne Morton Theatre. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

- Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at FAU is hosting a Special Film Presentation of “This is Your Ocean: Sharks” at 2 and 7 p.m. Three of the world’s top artists will shatter your perception of sharks.
- Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at FAU is offering a Kayak Tour at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge from 8:15 to 10:15 p.m.
