Lorene A. Yates, 90, died July 18, 2011, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland.
She was born in White City and lived in Fellsmere for 75 years, coming from Deer Park.
She was a member of River of Life Church of God for 64 years, where she was a charter Sunday school teacher, choir leader and past president of the Ladies Willing Workers.
Survivors include her sons, Roger Yates and Larry D. Yates, both of Vero Beach, Terry D. Yates, of Stevensville, Mont., and Dennis R. Yates, of Mikesville; daughter, Pamela Denise Walker, of Fellsmere; sister, Mary Jane Trainor, of Kissimmee; 28 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Skinner” Yates; and daughter, Regina Yates.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 20 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. July 21 at River of Life Church of God, Fellsmere, with the Rev. Roger Yates, the Rev. Jim Yates and the Rev. David Davis Sr., officiating.
Burial will be in Fellsmere Brookside Historic Cemetery, Fellsmere.
