Douglas F. Fish, 68, died July 1, 2011, at VNA Hospice House.
He was born in Catskill, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 26 years, coming from Braintree, Mass.
He worked as a security guard for John’s Island for 18 years.
He also worked for the Press Journal distribution department.
He was a member of Gideon’s of Vero Beach.
He was a member of St. Mark’s Anglican Church.
Survivors include his son, Jason Fish, of Vero Beach; brothers, Paul Fish and James Simpson, both of New York; companion, Joan Delgado, of Vero Beach; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Fish.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Anglican Church of Indian River County Inc., 1795 45th St., Vero Beach, FL 32967.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. July 23 at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Vero Beach.
