James F. Bell, 75, died July 10, 2011, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Pickens County, Ala., and lived in Sebastian for 12 years, coming from Jacksonville.
Before retiring, he was a coal miner and worked for the state at Sebastian Inlet.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sebastian.
Survivors include his sons, Mark Bell, of Sebastian and Michael Bell, of Carrollton, Ala.; daughter, Cherry Padbury, of Jasper, Ala.; sisters, Juanita Browning and Mamie Bell Boone, both of Columbus, Miss., and Faye Shaw, of Caledonia, Miss; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 123 Thunderbird Drive, Sebastian, FL 32958.
No local services are planned.
Interment will be in Alabama.
