E-Fit: Good Morning Yoga

I will be honest. I have not stepped one toe on the Wii balance board or fired up The Biggest Loser “game” in I don’t remember how long. But I vow here and now that beginning today – yes, today! – that I will turn on the Wii and get at least some workout in…daily.

In fact, I already put in 14 minutes today. Before my breakfast. Before my coffee. Before really anything else today.

And that’s what I plan to do going forward.

I’m going to wake up each day and say “Good Morning Yoga!”

It will be a good morning because I’ll stretch from the night’s slumber. I’ll welcome the day with yoga.

I already have a yoga routine established using the Wii Fit Plus – 14 minutes, 7 poses – 24 calories. I know, that alone won’t trim my waistline and probably won’t tone my problem areas.

But at least it’s something.

I don’t know about you, but I wake up feeling scrunched and stiff.

I know I’m only one day in – but even just today, doing the Half Moon (twice), Warrior, Palm Tree, Chair, Standing Knee, and Spinal Twist, I think I worked out most the kinks and loosened up to face the rest of my day.

I’ve tasked Hubby to keep me on track and to remind me to do my Good Morning Yoga before he pours me my first cup of coffee.

Coffee can be a good motivator!

I’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, what do you do to shake off the night’s deep sleep? You hit the gym, the yoga mat or just the caffeine?

Let me know – leave a comment below.

Take care,

Debbie
