Richard J. Ebert, 67, died June 28, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He lived in Sebastian for four years, coming from Brooklyn, N.Y.
He graduated from University of New York with a nursing degree.
He retired in 2006 from Queens Hospital in New York.
Survivors include his sister, Joan Marchand, of Franklin, N.C.; niece, Andrea Weatherby, of St. Petersburg; and nephew, Michael Marchand, of Mount Sinai, N.Y.
Arrangements are by National Cremation and Burial Society.
Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y.
