INDIAN RIVER COUNTY-The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find a missing 17-year-old who might be on his way north to New York.
The teen, identified as Jonathan Merwin, was last seen Sunday, July 3, around 5:30 p.m. in the area of the 8800 block of US 1.
He was last seen wearing gray board shorts with a white stripe down each leg, a blue T-shirt and white hi-top Reebok sneakers.
Authorities believe he might be trying to return to the Sydney, NY, area.
The teen is described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall with brown hair in a buzz-cut style and having blue eyes.
