SEBASTIAN – A dozen pies were entered into the Sebastian Lion’s Club Apple Pie Contest as part of Sebastian’s Fourth of July festivities.
Of the 12 entries, five people placed first through third in two categories – Best Tasting and Best Looking.
Thomas Zarcone took home first place in both categories.
Darlene LaGue and Dorothy Lust placed second and third in Best Tasting, respectively.
Tim LaGue and Marianne Riker placed second and third in Best Looking, respectively.
After the taste-testing and judging, the pies were auctioned off. The proceeds from the auction were donated to the Sebastian Lion’s Club.
