James Terry “Jim” Smith, 66, died June 29, 2011, at Sebastian Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Barney, Ala., and lived in Vero Beach for 50 years, coming from Hollywood.
He was married for 38 years to Ilse Smith, who died earlier June 29.
Survivors include his stepdaughter, Debbie Clifford, of Sebastian; sisters, Iris Maddox and Beverly Laird, both of Quinton, Ala., Melissa Morford of Wilton Manors, Starla Moore, of Bessemer, Ala., Frances Kennedy, of Jacksonville Beach and Glenda Patterson, of Vero Beach.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Frankie and Ernie Smith.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. July 9 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastian.
