Brian Jude Spang, 46, Vero Beach

Brian Jude Spang, 46, died June 28, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Winchester, Mass., lived in Vero Beach for six years and was formerly of Rowley, Mass., and Wakefield, Mass.

He was a 1983 graduate of Wakefield High School and later attended Middlesex Community College, Massachusetts.

He was president of Spang Controls of Vero Beach and worked as an engineer with the Coast Guard Auxiliary of Florida.

Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Spang, of Reading, Mass.; wife, Donna Spang; brothers, Edmund Spang, of Vero Beach and Robert C. Spang Jr.; and sisters, Marcia Venditti, of Deer Park, Ill., and Corrine DiSanto, of Wakefield.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Spang.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. July 5 at McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.

Services will be at 9 a.m. July 6 at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Wakefield.

A memorial service will be at a later date in Vero Beach.
