Michael J. Balsan Jr., 82, died June 30, 2011, at his home.
He was born in New York City and lived in Vero Beach since 1994, coming from Racine, Wis.
He had attended Stuyvesant High School and graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
He accepted a position at Morey Machinery in New York City.
After postings in Paris and Astoria, N.Y., he moved to Racine and started a career in industrial machine sales.
He purchased P&S Manufacturing, where he was president and CEO for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Kathleen; sons, Dr. Michael J. Balsan III, of Erie, Pa.,and James Balsan, of New York City; daughters, Kathleen Balsan, of New York City and Monica Balsan, of Melbourne; and six grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. July 8 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach followed by a reception at The Racquet Club.
