E-Fit: Is it cheating if it’s not the TV?

Lately I’ve stopped using the Wii console and TV for my workouts. In fact, life has been so crazy-busy as of late that I’ve pretty much altogether stopped working out.

Which leads me to wonder if my evening walks using a pedometer count as part of my e-fitness routine.

I guess because I’m the one who came up with the idea for the E-Fit blog, I can make of it what I will. But I don’t want to be misleading to my readers.

So I’ll let you judge – is it cheating or not?

Just about every evening, I take a long walk – about a mile and a half or so around my neighborhood.

The pedometer helps me keep track of the number of steps I can get in and gauge the number of calories burnt during the walk.

It’s electronic – so it counts.

But it’s not a “game” or indoor-type exercise – so it’s cheating, right?

Now I’m conflicted.

If only I could get myself back to using the Wii and its exercise programs, I wouldn’t have to struggle with this question.

Sigh…if only.
