Betty C. Wendt, 94, died June 27, 2011, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach for 48 years, coming from Doylestown, Pa.
Wendt worked at the Florida National Bank, Vero Beach from 1963-1974 and then at First Bankers, Westside Branch, Vero Beach from 1974 until her retirement in 1978.
She was a member of The Community Church, Vero Beach
Wendt volunteered at the Indian River Village Care Center, the Salvation Army in Philadelphia and Vero Beach and the Indian River County Health Department.
She was a board member of the Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Foundation, Vero Beach.
Wendt was a member of Dodger Pines Golf Club and Dodgertown Golf Club, Vero Beach.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Community Church, 1901 23rd St., Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Wendt.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m., July 5, 2011 at The Community Church, in the Chapel, with Rev. Carol Trax officiating.
Interment will be in Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
