Lobster Shanty helping MDA ‘lock-up’ jailbirds to raise bail Thursday

VERO BEACH – The Muscular Dystrophy Association and Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty will be hosting the annual Vero Beach Executive Lock-Up from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday June 16.

For this charitable event, local business and community leaders are volunteering to become “jailbirds” to benefit local children and adults living with neuromuscular diseases.  

Organizers are expecting about 200 volunteers from various local businesses, including city officials to participate in this year’s event.

Jailbirds will have the opportunity to raise $3200 for “bail” while overlooking the Indian River and enjoy a complimentary luncheon provided by The Lobster Shanty.
