John DeChellis, 51, died May 24, 2011, in Staten Island, N.Y.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Vero Beach in 1974, coming from Carteret, N.J., and lived in New York since 2007.
He graduated from St. Edward’s High School in 1978 and Florida Southern College in Lakeland in 1982.
In 1983, he began his career with E. F. Hutton and then went to Raymond James Financial in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his sons, John DeChellis, of New York City and Michael DeChellis, of Columbia, S.C.; parents, Nina and Carlo DeChellis, of Vero Beach; and brothers, Anthony DeChellis, of Darien, Conn., Robert DeChellis, of Minneapolis and Daniel DeChellis, of Raleigh, N.C.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. May 30 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 31 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Interment will follow in Fountainhead Memorial Park in Palm Bay.
