George G. Sipp, Jr. passed away May 28, 2011, in Vero Beach.
Formerly of Allentown, Pa., and Green Pond, N.J., Sipp was born in Jersey City, N.J., in 1933 to George & Evelyn Sipp and spent his early years in Teaneck, N.J., where he graduated from Teaneck High School and Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, PA.
He is a veteran having served with the U.S Army in Germany.
Before retiring to Vero Beach, he was in the industrial gas business, co-owner of Metal Welding & Supply Co., Allentown, Pa.
He was a former member of Saucon Valley Country Club, Bethlehem, Pa., and a member of Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club, Vero Beach where he enjoyed tennis, golf, bridge and his many friends.
He was a devoted husband, father & grandfather, a true friend who was loved by all.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Maureen (Fitzgerald) Sipp; son, George T. Sipp and wife Karen; grandchildren, Chloe & Eric, of Macungie, Pa.; daughter, Karen Martini and husband Mark; grandchildren, Luke & Kaitlyn, of Clinton, N.J.; daughter Diane Baj and husband Rob; grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander and Emma, of Kenilworth, Ill.; son Thomas Sipp and wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Morgan, Carly, Griffin & Julia, of Needham, Mass.; brother Allan Sipp and wife Virginia; and nephews and niece of Gulfstream.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on June 3, 2011, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2605 Highway A1A in Vero Beach.
