Nominations being accepted for National Philanthropy Day awards

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Association of Fundraising Professionals – Indian River County (AFP-IRC) invites all member and non-member organizations to consider nominating individual and corporate philanthropists, as well as, fundraising volunteers for the annual National Philanthropy Day celebration scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Riverside Theater.

The AFP-IRC National Philanthropy Day committee has streamlined the nominations process.  Now more than ever, it is a great time to pay tribute to leaders, donors and volunteers who keep non-profit organizations thriving.  It’s a meaningful and cost effective way to publically recognize those who are vital to the success of an agency’s mission.

Award categories are Outstanding Individual Philanthropist, Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser, and Unsung Hero of the Year.

Nominations guidelines and forms are available on the AFP-IRC website: www.afpindianriver.afpnet.org.

Participating organizations are asked to submit the names of their nominees and the award categories to info@afpindianriver.com by June 1, 2011 to ensure that nominees are not duplicated.

Final nomination packets must be postmarked or hand delivered by July 22, 2011 to Beverly Smith, VNA & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.  Late entries will not be accepted.

For questions concerning the nominations process or applications contact Kelly Brown at (772) 205-8271, kbrown@irchabitat.org or Beverly Smith at (772) 978-5573, bsmith@vnatc.com.
