Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Conquistadores Sprint Triathlon

VERO BEACH — The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer, is hosting an inaugural LLS Conquistadores Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, May 15 at Jaycee Park in Vero Beach.

Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 7:30 a.m.  Triathlon Distance is 0.5km Swim (Ocean), 20km Bike (Road), 5km Run (Road). The LLS Conquistadores Sprint Triathlon was setup to raise awareness of the fight against blood cancers; proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

$85 registration fee and application must be received by Tuesday, May 10.  No rain dates, refunds or transfers.

For ranking purposes USAT Age divisions are broken down into the following for both men & women: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

Awards will be given to Overall Male & Female, and to the top 3 finishers in following groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.

USA Triathlon will sanction The LLS Conquistadores Triathlon. To complete the online registration process, athletes will need to enter their USAT annual license number or purchase a one-day license ($10) during online registration. Athletes must bring their photo identification and show proof of current USAT membership during athlete check-in, or will be required to purchase a one day license on-site.

Athletes need to pick up packets at Runner’s Depot in Vero Beach between 10 am and 5 pm by Saturday May 14.

Event shirts will be guaranteed to the first 100 early birds; others subject to availability.

The LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
