Constance R. “Connie” Pease, 74, Vero Beach

Constance R. “Connie” Pease, 74, died May 3, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

She was born in Montvale, N.J. and lived in Vero Beach for 56 years, coming from Woodcliff Lake, N.J. She was substitute teacher for Indian River County.

She was a member of Community Church and Indian River Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; president of the Republican Woman’s Club of the Treasure Coast; past president of the Vero Heritage Center; member of the Vero Beach Museum of Art and founder of the Children’s Art Festival; and Sgt. at Arms for the Florida Woman’s Political Network.

Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Winslow, of Live Oak and Carolyn Myers, of Vero Beach; brother, Chris Costos, of Showlow, Ariz.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Pease.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. May 5 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. May 6 at Community Church, Vero Beach.

Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery.
