VERO BEACH — The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County (HSVB & IRC) will be teaming up with Indian River County Day of Service volunteers to offer FREE pet identification tags this Saturday, April 30.
The event is slated from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Sam’s Club, located on Rte. 60 in Vero Beach. There is no limit to the number of tags participants can request and pet ID tags can be issued without pets being present.
HSVB & IRC offers the free ID tags as a public service. Each tag is engraved with a unique identification number issued to that particular animal, the Humane Society’s 24 hour paging service and says “I AM LOST.”
Humane Society employees are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to calls for lost or found animals. Free pet ID tags are also available at The Humane Society, located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach.
The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and helping the animals of Indian River County.
