Theresa Yvonne Duffany, 84, Vero Beach

Theresa Yvonne Duffany, 84, died April 19, 2011, in Vero Beach. She was born in Attleboro, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach since 1995, coming from Ocala.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Duffany, of Sebastian, Larry Duffany and Richard Duffany, both of Stuart, and Edward Duffany, of Florida; daughter, Linda Duffany, of Fort Pierce; brother, Paul Goulet; sisters, Jackie Rocheleau and Anita Pellisey; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Duffany; and sons, Charles Edward Duffany Jr., Kevin Duffany and Donald Duffany.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. April 29 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. April 30 at Haisley Funeral Home.

Arrangements are by Haisley Funeral and Cremation Service.

11-year-old breaks into church, steals laptop on Christmas Day

GIFFORD — An 11-year-old who deputies said broke into a church and stole a laptop on Christmas Day, was detained. Deputies also arrested the boy's mother after saying she failed to report the boy as missing. The Gifford youth told deputies he stole the $700 laptop because "he wanted something to play with," reports show. Deputies said the juvenile was a runaway. An arrest report noted the incident took place at St. Peter's Missionary Baptist Church, located just south of St. Peter's Academy. Both facilities have the same address at 4250 38th Avenue, Gifford. SEBASTIAN — Billy Wilson's impact on the community over the years was evident Saturday as family, friends, coaches, school board members and deputies gathered to pay final respects.
