Elaine Stein, 87, died April 12, 2011, at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.
She was born in Mexico, Maine, and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from Windsor, Conn.
She worked for Travelers Insurance Co., Hartford, Conn., and also as a substitute teacher in Hartford, Conn.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach Community Center, Vero Beach Bridge Center and Sebastian Bridge Center.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Sidney Stein, of Vero Beach; son, Neal Stein, of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Rachel Gragg, of Fairfax, Va., Peggy Sharlow, of Ridgefield, Conn., and Lisa Stein, of Bremerton, Wash.; brother, William Andrews, of Roanoke, Va.; sister, Francis DeFilipp, of Mexico, Maine; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Andrew and Harry; daughter, Cynthia; and brother, Richard Andrews.
