VERO BEACH – The Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra will present their second concert of the 2010-2011 season on Sunday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. The conductor and music director is Maestro Page Howell, assistant band director at Vero Beach High School. Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted. The featured soloist is John’s Island resident and accomplished pianist Michèle Witt, who will be performing the Mozart Piano Concerto #21 in C Major.
The orchestra will also be performing Beethoven Symphony #3, the Eroica. A number of VBHS orchestra students will be performing with the orchestra for this exciting program.
Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra was formed in 2008 to provide residents in the local area: Professionals, Semi Professional and students who would enjoy playing Classical Literature an opportunity to perform.
The orchestra is in its third concert season and has performed symphonies by Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Gounod, and Prokofiev.
