INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – On Thursday, April 14, members and guests of the Treasure Coast Council of the Navy League of the U.S. will gather at the Best Western, 8797 20th St., Vero Beach, for the Council’s monthly Dinner Meeting.
Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., cash bar and passed hors d’oeuvres. Dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m. followed by a talk of general interest. The speaker will be Vice Admiral Alan S. Thompson, Director of the Defense Logistics Agency. He is responsible for providing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and other federal agencies with a variety of logistics, acquisition and technical services in peace and war.
These services include logistics information, materiel management, procurement, warehousing and distribution of spare parts, food, clothing, medical supplies and fuel.
The evening gives veterans of all services, non-veterans and their guests an excellent opportunity to socialize.
Cost of the event is $25 per person.
