Betty S. Strickland, 93, died March 30, 2011, at her home.
She was born in Bryan, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach since 1986, coming from her birthplace.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, the Vero Beach Yacht Club and a local bridge club.
She also was a patron of the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
She was a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi women’s fraternity and the National Panhellenic Council.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann L. Roan, of York, Maine; son, Thomas Levenson, of Sarasota; brother, Ted Spangler, of Bryan; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Neil Levenson; and her second husband, Harold Strickland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
No local services are planned at this time.
