INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – The top six finalists who have applied to replace out-going Schools Superintendent Dr. Harry La Cava will meet the School Board and the community starting Friday.
Each candidate will attend a community reception, where members of the public will get to meet the candidate. The receptions will be held for one hour prior to the School Board’s interview.
Those participating in the reception will be given comment cards to share their opinions of the candidate with the School Board.
Of the six candidates who made the cut, four are from Florida. The other two are from Alabama and North Carolina.
The Florida candidates include current Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Fran Adams, and candidates from Lee, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties.
The interviews will be open to the public and, once all interviews are completed, will be replayed on School District’s television channel.
The School Board intends to take each candidate out to eat after the interviews. The meals are open to the public but no food or drinks will be provided to the public.
