Museum’s Circle of Friends to hold final Voting Meeting April 12

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Museum of Art has announced that its giving circle, Circle of Friends, will hold its final meeting of the season on Tuesday, April 12 at 5 pm in the Museum’s Laura and Bill Buck Atrium. Refreshments will be served.

At present, Circle of Friends is comprised of 83 philanthropic women who have contributed $250 each with the goal that the total amount will be gifted annually, by vote, to a Museum program of their collective majority choice.

At this meeting, Circle of Friends members will vote on which Museum education program will receive their gift of more than $20,000 this season.

The three programs that they will choose from are: Summer Art Camp Scholarships, School Transportation Fund, and Artist in the School Program.

This year the Circle of Friends group is co-chaired by Diane Wilhelm and Margaret Goembel. Committee members are Lyn Adams, Lee Albro, Leigh Bennett, Jackie Farrell, Pat Marquis, and Maya Peterson.

Members of the Vero Beach community can still participate and contribute to this innovative giving circle. Interested women from the community are invited to make a reservation to attend and to make their $250 individual gift on the day of the event.

Participants need not be members of the Vero Beach Museum of Art to participate, but do need to be or become a Circle of Friends member to attend the event.
