VERO BEACH — The Indian River Symphonic Association will present its final concert of the 2010-11 season on Sunday, April 3, with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Christopher Confessore. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Church of Vero Beach.
The featured violin soloist will be Karen Gomyo, the 2008 recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant. Gomyo first caught public attention after winning the 1997 Young Concert Artists International Auditions at age 15. She has since appeared as soloist with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra and many other major symphony orchestras.

Carl Nielsen – An Imaginary Journey to the Faeroe Islands
Max Bruch – Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 26
Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky – Symphony No. 5 in E Minor, Op. 64
