Earl Jenkins, 86, died March 7, 2011 at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Winter Beach and has been a lifetime resident of Vero Beach.
Jenkins was supervisor of the Department of Streets for the city of Vero Beach for 33 years before his retirement in 1983.
He was a member of Central Assembly of God, Vero Beach.
Jenkins was a member of the Vero Beach Beach Buggy Club.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years Eloise Jenkins, of Vero Beach; son, Larry Jenkins, of Vero Beach; daughter, Diane Powell, of Vero Beach; brothers, Ralph Jenkins, of Vero Beach and Cecil Jenkins, of Winter Beach; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. on March 11, 2011, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach with Rev. Buddy Tipton of Central Assembly of God officiating.
Interment will be at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach at a later date.
