Charles Earl Streeter, 87, died March 8, 2011 at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Bellevue, Mich., and lived in Sebastian and Vero Beach area for 42 years, coming from Grand Rapids, Mich.
He served in the U.S. Army during the World War II.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastian and former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
He was a former member of the American Legion Post 10210, Sebastian; he was associated with McDonald-Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, CA and Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Elaine G. Streeter, of Sebastian; sons, Steve (Pam) Webb, of Vero Beach, John (Cate) Webb, of Jacksonville, Robert (Jonna) Streeter, of Vero Beach; daughters, Peggy Dunham, of Crystal, Mich., Linda (Craig) Battle, of Katy, Texas, Claudine (Greg) Bartnik, of Wyoming, Mich., Mary Boshers of Grand Rapids, Mich., Debbie (Steven) Christensen, of Vero Beach, Jill (Charran) Graham, of Fort Pierce; brother, James Streeter, of Indianapolis, Ind.; sister, Joyce Peters, of Zephyrhills; 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Vivian and Geraldine Streeter and Minnie Stoeker.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 611 Schumann Drive, Sebastian, FL 32958 in memory of Charles Streeter.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. on March 15, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastian followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tim Schmeling of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach with military honors conducted by the Sebastian Area Veterans’ Honor Guard.
