Solid*Gold and Motown Revue join Hibiscus Festival Evening Party

VERO BEACH — The Hibiscus Festival committee invites everyone to have a blast at this year’s Evening Street Party, Saturday, April 16 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The party will highlight the award winning Las Vegas-style SOLID*GOLD band with their Dancin’ Through the Decades™ variety show.  The show will take audiences from sock hops to hip hop in the Downtown Friday block on 14th Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets in historic downtown Vero Beach.

SOLID*GOLD, voted the #1 band in the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast three years in a row, will present a special Motown Revue as a part of their performance. The tribute set will feature Daryl Magill, Gregg Jackson & Paul Williams with the best Solid Gold Motown hits from ‘Detroit and the Sounds of Philly’.

Jackson has performed with James Brown, Ike & Tina Turner, The Platters, The Coasters, The Drifters and Otis Redding throughout his career and is now one of several lead vocalists featured with SOLID*GOLD.

The Evening Street Party is chaired by Marine Bank’s Georgia Irish, and sponsored by The Continental Group, Inc. with décor underwritten by Bobby’s Plumbing and the stage underwritten by All Florida Pest Control & Fertilization.

The Hibiscus Festival is presented by Main Street Vero Beach and the City of Vero Beach to benefit Main Street Vero Beach and Vero Heritage, Inc.  The Miss Hibiscus Pageant will be held on Friday, April 15, and Festival Day begins the following morning at 7 a.m. with the 5K Race.  A vast array of activities in downtown will continue until 8:30 p.m.
