SEBASTIAN — The City of Sebastian’s annual Earth Day Festival will be held on April 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Riverview Park in Sebastian.
This free family event provides for people to mingle with earth friendly organizations and learn about the various ways to protect our planet. There will also be music, games, contests, food and free door prizes.
And if you would like to create and construct “earth friendly” projects for the public to view and vote for their favorites, you can start working now on one or more of these projects: homemade birdhouse or birdfeeder; original object or work of art created by using recycling materials or trash; amateur nature photography contest (bring your best nature picture); or another “eco” project that you design.
Bring your projects to the Sebastian Natural Resources Board booth at the Earth Day Festival in Sebastian on April 23.
If you are an “earth friendly” organization and would like to have a booth at this event, or if you have any questions, please call Jane Schnee of Sebastian’s Natural Resources Board at (772) 589-3201.
