Enjoy exhibitions and lunch at the Vero Beach Museum of Art

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Museum of Art’s current exhibitions would make a great day out for families, friends, and seniors. Visitors will enjoy the current exhibitions American Masterworks: 150 Years of Painting from the Butler Institute of American Art, a remarkable selection of significant examples of American Art from the late nineteenth century to the late twentieth century by artists from Bierstadt to Warhol; and Impressions: Selections from the Manoogian Collection, focusing on the most well-known names in American Impressionism. Other exhibits include Celebrating 25 Years: Sculptures from the Permanent Collection, featuring over a dozen large-scale sculptures in the Alice and Jim Beckwith Sculpture Park; and Vero Promises, an exhibition of first-class art treasures borrowed from the homes and vaults of area residents who have bequeathed these works to the Museum’s permanent collection as part of their planned giving initiatives.

To round out the trip, before or after viewing the Museum’s great art, you and your family and friends can partake in lunch or just refreshments in the Museum’s Chelsea’s @ the Museum Cafe. The cafe is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 3 pm with homemade soups, sandwiches, salads, sweets, and a wonderful selection of beverages. You’ll enjoy many of the same great foods found at the 20-plus year-old Chelsea’s on Cardinal, a barrier island landmark.

There is no admission fee for the Museum and you’ll find three of current exhibitions are free-of-charge.  The fourth, American Masterworks is free for Museum members and $10 each for adults with youth 17-and-under admitted free-of-charge. All visitors are asked to stop at the front Visitor’s Desk when they arrive at the Museum and pick up a complimentary ticket for admission.
