Mildred “Mudder” Briles, 88, died Feb. 4, 2011, at Fort Pierce Healthcare.
She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for 50 years, coming from Fort Pierce.
She was an Avon sales representative for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Jo Garringer, of Highland Home, Ala., and Sandi Powell, Betty Peters and Theresa Howe, all of Vero Beach; son, David Briles, of Vero Beach; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Walter; son, George; sisters, Thelma Cleveland and Ruth Spinks; and a grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice at 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 12 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
