INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Friends of the Indian River County Libraries are inviting everyone in Indian River County to read the same book as part of a One Book – One Community initiative. Annie’s Ghosts: A Journey Into a Family Secret, by Steve Luxenberg is available for checkout at each of the libraries in Indian River County. Luxenberg, a Washington Post associate editor and award-winning author, will appear at the Richardson Center, Mueller Campus of Indian River State College on Wednesday, February 23 at 1 p.m. to discuss his book.
The award-winning nonfiction book, which is part detective story, part social history, part memoir, was named to The Washington Post’s Best Books of 2009 list, and honored as a 2010 Michigan Notable Book by the State Library of Michigan. It has been featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered” and the “Diane Rehm Show.”
Join the One Book – One Community reading challenge and participate in a book discussion at the North Indian River County Library in Sebastian on Wednesday, February 16 at 10 .a.m.
