WABASSO ISLAND — The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) is conducting a Family Fun Hour from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, February 24 for families with children 4 to 7 years old. Lead by ELC Naturalist, Rosemary Badger, participants will explore a local beach to hunt for natural treasures, such as, hamburger beans, mermaids’ purses, sea hearts, golf ball beans, and more. It will be educational as well as fun. Badger’s extensive experience in environmental education spans 18 years. She specializes in early childhood education and leads preschool and elementary programs for the ELC.
To broaden the outdoor experience, families may wish to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the beach after the program.
The cost is $10 per family or $8 per ELC member family.
