VERO BEACH — The City of Vero Beach invites the public to come out and celebrate the “10th Anniversary” for Royal Palm Pointe. The event will be held on Saturday, February 26 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Royal Palm Pointe. There will be entertainment provided for all ages. On the stage area Jerry Chambers and the Dolls and Old Barber Bridge will be performing, and various Art Vendors will be on hand to sell some of their beautiful art work and treasures.
In the Children’s area there will be performances provided by the Vero Beach Recreation Department Gymnastic Team, Shark Singers, Vero Beach Cheerleaders and the Vero Beach High School Band.
Restaurants along Royal Palm Pointe will be open throughout the entire event and there will be food vendors selling barbeque, ice cream, donuts and chicken sandwiches.
The Royal Palm Pointe Business Association will have a wine and beer tent set up for anyone wanting to purchase an adult beverage.
At the celebration both current City Councilmembers those from ten years ago will be introduced and invited to say a few words.
A boat parade being organized by Vero Marine Center and the City of Vero Beach Marina will begin at 5:30 p.m.
A free water taxi from the boat ramp at Riverside Park to Dockside Restaurant will also run from 2:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
Parking will be available at the First Presbyterian Church, the Eye Institute and Riverside Park.
The night will end with Dancing Under the Stars to music by Sha-Boom and the Rip Rides with dancing in and around the fountain area.
