Mckee Botanical Garden gears up for Motor Car Exhibition

VERO BEACH — On Saturday, February 12, some of the most exclusive launches from luxury car manufacturers in the last decade will drive into McKee Botanical Garden for its “Second Annual Motor Car Exhibition: Modern Exotics and Sports Cars.”  From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the public will have the opportunity to view approximately thirty of these sleek and powerful automobiles free in the Garden’s main parking area. “Last year’s showcase of ‘extinct’ classic cars was so well received that we knew we had to make this an annual event,” explained McKee Executive Director Christine Hobart.  “This year marks the 10th anniversary of the re-opening of McKee Botanical Garden, so we decided to focus on remarkable cars that were launched during that same time period.”

Some of the cars scheduled to be on display during the Second Annual Motor Car Exhibition include a 2004 Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa, 2005 Honda S2000, 2004 Ferrari 360, 2008 Ferrari 430, 2003 Aston Martin, 2003 BMW Z8, 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, 2005 Maserati MC12, 2009 Alfa Romeo 8C and 2002 Jaguar XKR 100 (limited edition).

There is no charge for the Exhibition, which will be shown in the parking area, but general admission applies to enter the Garden. The Exhibition is sponsored by the AT&T Real Yellow Pages.

The mission of McKee Botanical Garden is to nurture and enhance a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of all.

General admission fees are $9 adults, $8 seniors and $5 children ages 3 to 12.  Admission is free for members and children under 3.

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.  For more information, call 772-794-0601 or visit www.mckeegarden.org.
