Walter E. Jay, 87, died Jan. 20, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Clearfield, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach for 28 years, coming from Clearfield.
Before retiring, he was an electrician for North American Refractory Co. in Curwensville, Pa., for 28 years.
He was a member of the American Legion in Clearfield and former member of Elks Lodge 1776 of Vero Beach.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Jay, of Vero Beach; son, James Jay, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; daughter, Joan Jay, of Lawrenceville; and one grandchild.
