INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – Want to make a meal for your pet that’s both healthy and delicious?
Then head on over to The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County on Saturday Feb. 5 for the “Cooking for your Pet” workshop by Sebastian veterinarian and pet cookbook writer Dr. Amy Cousino.
Author of How to Cook for your Pet, Cousino will be discussing the benefits of home cooking for companion animals, reveal which foods are healthy and which are unsafe for pets to consume, and elaborate on some of the pitfalls of commercially prepared pet foods.
Cousino’s presentation will also include a cooking demonstration.
The “Cooking for Your Pet” workshop will be held from 1 – 2:30 p.m. at the shelter’s Adoption and Education building located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach.

Donations to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County of money, pet food and supplies and gently used sheets, towels and blankets are always welcome.
