Capt. William Charles Booze, USNRet, 92, died Jan. 22, 2011, at Royal Palm Convalescent Center in Vero Beach.
He was born in Baltimore and lived in Vero Beach for 25 years, coming from Ocean City, Md.
He served in the Navy in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars and rose to the rank of captain.
He was a graduate of the Naval Academy and the University of Maryland.
He was of the Episcopal faith.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Louise Oswinkle Booze, of Vero Beach; daughters, Beverly Carter, of Vero Beach and Barbara Kirby, of Baltimore; brother, Joseph L. Booze Jr., of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son, William C. Booze Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 2655 5th Place S.W., Vero Beach, FL 32962.
A memorial service will be in Maryland at a later date.
