Roy J. Kenyon, 48, Vero Beach

Roy J. Kenyon, 48, died Jan. 12, 2011, at VNA Hospice.

He was born in New York City and lived in Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from Brooklyn, N.Y.

Earlier in his life, he worked as a chef and later painted and pressure-washed houses.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the American Legion.

Survivors include his daughters, Janine Keller, of Coco Beach and Carrie Kenyon, of South Carolina; companion, Shari Kenyon; mother, Rosemarie LaPella, of Vero Beach; sister, Rosemarie Kenyon, of Vero Beach; brothers, Richard Kenyon and Vincent Barile, both of Vero Beach, and Paul Gerome, of New York City; and two grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Kenyon.

Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A private family memorial service will be Jan. 17 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 22 at the American Legion Post 39, Vero Beach.
