VERO BEACH — The Hibiscus Festival Committee is inviting fine artists to set up booths for the Hibiscus Festival Annual Juried Fine Art Show, sponsored by New Vision Eye Care. The Festival, which attracts more than 15,000 people, will take place on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A 10 x 10 space will be provided for artists to set up their tent (white only); electricity is not provided. Original artwork is to be exhibited, and offerings of the artist’s prints, note cards, postcards & small gift items are encouraged. Fine art and fine crafts to be considered include paintings, drawings, sculpture, collage, mixed media, photography, pottery, glass and fine jewelry. Crafters creating clothing, country crafts, costume jewelry, etc., are also encouraged to apply. Cash Awards to be determined.
Booth fee is $50. A special rate of $35 will be given to artists who are members of the Cultural Council of Indian River County, the Vero Beach Art Club or the Sebastian River Art Club and to previous Highwaymen exhibitors. Booth sharing is permitted with each artist paying the full booth fee.
Deadline to participate is March 15, 2011. You will be notified of your acceptance upon receipt of your application.

The annual Hibiscus Festival begins on Friday evening April 15 with the Miss Hibiscus Pageant, and the all-day Festival and evening street party is are Saturday, April 16. The Festival supports the efforts by the two benefiting sponsors Main Street Vero Beach and Vero Heritage, Inc. The City of Vero Beach is the Presenting Sponsor.
