INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Sheriff's deputies are investigating a late Thursday shooting that left a man dead with several gunshot wounds. There was limited information available on the circumstances leading up to the gunfire. It was also not immediately known if investigators have identified a shooter. Indian River County sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting about 8:50 p.m. Thursday in the 3100 block of 43rd Street, said Sgt. Kevin Jaworski, a spokesperson with the agency. WEST VERO CORRIDOR — A woman was killed and a man seriously hurt in a shooting at a residence late Sunday, sheriff's officials said. Details on what prompted the gunfire were limited. "This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public," said Sgt. Kevin Jaworski, a spokesperson with the Indian River County Sheriff's Office. Man shot several times in Fellsmere; police investigating

FELLSMERE — A man was seriously wounded after being shot multiple times Tuesday afternoon, police said. Police said there is no danger to the public. "The investigation is in progress as officers and sheriff's deputies continue to work active leads to arrest the suspect or suspects," Fellsmere Police Chief Keith Touchberry said in a statement.
