VERO BEACH–Periodic lane closures are expected while Vero Beach Public Works crews improve drainage along Mockingbird Drive for two months, beginning Jan. 18.
Construction will begin at Mockingbird at Live Oak Road and head south toward Holly Road.
Crews will cross Holly and Conn Way, necessitating the periodic lane closures in those areas.
The work will involve the use of heavy equipment. Therefore, all residents should exercise caution around the various work sites. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the areas if possible to avoid traffic snarls.
The drainage work includes installing a 24-inch drainage pipe with catch basins in order to provide treatment of stormwater before it is discharged into the Indian River Lagoon.
