Anthony R. “Tony” Russo, 65, died Dec. 29, 2010, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian.
He was born in Providence, R.I., and lived in Vero Beach for six years, coming from Johnston, R.I.
He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era.
He was a member of Calvary Chapel of Melbourne and Sebastian Campuses.
After obtaining his associate’s degree in business, he made a career as a general contractor in construction.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Maureen A. Russo, of Vero Beach; sons, Darren Russo, of Vero Beach, Brian Russo, of Pascoag, R.I.; mother, Phyllis Russo, of Johnston, R.I.; brothers, Robert Russo, of Johnston, R.I., Carl Russo, of Cranston, R.I.; five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. on Jan. 3, at Strunk Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Norm Holm of Calvary Chapel (Sebastian Campus), officiating.
Military Honors will be conducted following the service by the Sebastian Area Veterans’ Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Cranston, Rhode Island.
